HistoMap is intended to display information about historical and archaeological sites for the general public. For ease of use, not all listed buildings are shown, and some individual listed buildings or other sites of historic interest have been grouped together. 

This information is provided in good faith, but HistoMap is not an official data source and should not be used for legal purposes, such as planning or land management. 

Locations of sites have been generated using commercial mapping software. Some locations may be more accurate than others. Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy#limited-use).

Most of the sites listed in this app are private property. Many of them are also protected as Scheduled Monuments and/or Listed Buildings. Unauthorised access and damage to heritage sites can be a serious criminal matter.
